JOHN A. SIKITA

artist photographer philanthropist

Travel has taken me many places, some nice, and some not so nice.  But, I’ve always been able to learn more from one day of travel anywhere (especially the “not so nice”), than all of my formal education combined.   When I would return home, I found it very difficult to relate my sights and experiences with friends and family so I took up photography as a way to communicate my experiences in different corners of the world.   My site was developed so you could see those pictures, buy prints if you’d like a nice way to decorate your office, hear my thoughts on some of the places I have been to, watch some video on them, donate to some worthy causes, and maybe get inspired to get out and explore a little on your own.   A little bit of trivia about myself for those of you interested;  On any given day you can find me outside, kicking my buddy’s asses on my bike, climbing, swimming, painting, diving,

"Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime" Mark Twain

canyoneering, searching for my owl, getting my ass kicked by my buddies on my bike, drawing, searching for lost treasure with my boy, fly fishing, drinking good coffee, writing, taking pictures, hiking with my wife (Sorry ladies), kayaking, in a foreign country with diarrhea, at a National Park, reading, discussing politics with a Somali, running a tri, listening to Johnny Cash, drinking in a dive bar, eating pistachio ice cream, skiing, driving like a lunatic, snowboarding, skateboarding,  or waiting for a flight in some shitty airport…
