One More Fall Shot

Ok, just one more fall shot. Its really about timing. When my best friend and I left the cabin early this morning, taking pictures was not on my mind. Rather, keeping my hands warm in the early morning frost was my true goal. I have however, begun to bring my camera every morning just in case we get lucky spotting Yogi and Boo Boo. I entered the first meadow and knew right away what my numb fingers and four-legged pal already knew…frost. Frost early, equals fog. Fog equals great pictures. I picked up the pace knowing that I was racing the sun to the 3rd meadow where there was still some color left on the aspens. I arrived as the sun was licking the tips of the tallest trees. Scout decided to lick the frost from the tips of grass while I ran across the meadow to position the most colorful trees behind a thick, low, vail of fog. I was pleased when the fog transferred to pixels and complimented the yellow, orange, and reds of the trees. I shot away, composing and recomposing while the sun advanced relentlessly. Finally, my fingers couldn’t feel the buttons on my camera, the sun had won the race, and Scout decided it was time to head back for breakfast.
