Santa Barbara

Why is Santa Barbara so difficult to get to? The interstate ignores it. There is no airport unless you own a G4. And I think the only job available requires you to leave Santa Barbara, go pick up some supplies, bring them back to Santa Barbara, and then leave again because there’s no way one could possibly afford to live there on this wage. I guess if you were getting married, you might be lucky enough to have your wedding there and then come back to visit for your 10 year anniversary. When I took this picture, I was lucky enough to be there on business (selling supplies to Santa Barbara), and happened to find the other occupation in Santa Barbara, whale watching. We did see some whales (see post here), sea lions (see post here), and even a sailboat race (see post here), but I found the coast absolutely beautiful. It reminded me of the paintings you commonly see of the small towns on the Mediterranean coast. Like someone painted the coast and then went and built it. As opposed to buying it, building some atrocity on it, and then whoring it out to the highest bidder. No, maybe its good that it isn’t easy to get to Santa Barbara.
