Ssssh, it’s a secret!  Not really.  Kauapea beach, also known as “Secret” beach, is on the beautiful island of Kauai.  Just pick up the latest addition of the big blue Hawaii guide books and walk yourself down to it.  I can only imagine when this beach really was a secret known only to the locals.  It seems a shame that the secret is out, and I often wonder if I could or would forfeit the special hours I have spent here over the years to having never known its existence.   I don’t believe I could, or would.  Some places, I believe, are so utterly beautiful their existence must be shared in order to facilitate the love for the world that will ultimately save the world.   My photograph here, I guess, could’ve been taken on any beach for the long exposure abstracts everything to its basic form, color, and value.  Yet, Ive been to many other beaches, taken many other long exposures, and have yet to be stricken with the condign inspiration to produce the photograph herein.  Nature requires the best of man and rewards him with the fruits of his best endeavor.
