I went out this morning with a photograph in my head. It was of a gentle tiered waterfall in a mossy nook with a foggy mist providing the soft focus. I went out before sunrise, arrived at the fall just as the light broke, and waited, and waited, and waited. A couple hours later I got my wish. The fog rolled in and I snapped my composition. I packed up and proceeded to hike out of the canyon. As I came out above the cloud inversion, the fog on the ridge caught my eye. I snapped a few pics and hopped in the Jeep. When I got home it was clear that all my foresight, diligence, and patience was rewarded when the few quick pics I snapped of the fog rolling over the ridge proved to be a great picture.
