Tree tunnels are cool, but rarely do they present a new kind of picture. The standard pose is in the middle of the road looking down the barrel of the canopy. I've seen this pic a thousand times and I'm sure you have too. But it rarely ever disappoints. Especially if you are in wine country, and even better when the leaves are at their peak color. There are some pictures that you have to really pay for (see The Post Hole Pic here) and the rest of my pics I just happened to be at the right time and place on my way to nowhere and conveniently there was a pull off on the side of the road. This is one of those pics. A joy to compose. The light was right, the pull off was there, the leaves at their peak, no fucking mosquitos, no frost bitten fingers, no god damn electrified fence (see Let it Fall here), no hillbilly yelling at me to get off his land, and (the most important condition for a great pic) a patient wife.
