I really hate technology. I really hate subscriptions. I really hate insurance companies. Wait, let me back up to subscriptions, I went too far. Subscriptions, or renting (which is what subscriptions really are) is death by a thousand cuts. When I learned that my speakers (that I own by the way) would not play the music on my phone (that I own by the way) I blew a gasket. My lovely wife informed me that I would need to “subscribe” to a music company to hear music on my speakers. Infuriated, but in need of some AC/DC for my morning workout, I grabbed my wife’s phone and searched the archive for some greats. And then I came across “Deep Tracks.” It is impossible to think that there is some AC/DC that I haven’t heard…and yet there it was. Old live cuts, some studio work, and one or two Bon Scott’s that I still cant believe its taken me this long to hunt down. Ok, what’s one more cut? Now it’s the weekend and I haven’t taken a new picture in two weeks. Maybe I can search my own archive of 25 years of photography for my own deep tracks? When cameras weren’t what they are today, you would have to digitally “stich” panoramas together in Photoshop. It was an OK method, but the technology wasnt really up to the challenge and you would have to wait sometimes an hour for Photoshop to give you meager results. Well today it’s a different story all together (remember I said I hate technology too). So I pulled up some deep tracks of my own from a trip to Tuscany 20 years ago. It wasn’t as good as hearing Bon Scott sing a “new” song, but the old digital files stitched perfectly together in about 2 seconds producing a whole new catalog from a trip I took 20 years ago. Ok, so some tech is good tech... But, fuck those fucking insurance companies! Fucking con artists! Never want to pay a single fucking claim! I still hate those sons a bitches…….
