Fall Color in Black and White

I live near one of Lake Tahoe’s most popular displays of fall color. Paige Meadows displays its groves of Aspens every October in spectacular form. I probably have 1000’s of photographs from these technicolor explosions. Despite my best efforts, I have never really been able to capture this phenomenon with pixels. I got lucky a few weeks back when the sun was just right and hit the “…turn picture into black and white…” button in photoshop. So, when I came across this stand, I was able to “see” this picture on my computer. Sure, the yellows and oranges are indicative of Fall, but I think black and white gives you the punch needed to experience just how amazing this fleeting anomaly is.
