The Farmers Tree

I’m sure the farmer was looking out his window at me as I walked onto his land and proceeded to photograph a tree, he has seen maybe all his life. I wonder if he will now look at his tree differently. Or maybe he thought someone finally appreciated the tree as much as himself. It’s a grand old tree. Probably was an acorn about 80 years ago, and now enjoys lots of sun, and goose fertilizer. The fog, and the beginning of fall allowed the twisted arms to take on a sculpture worthy of an Adams photo. The farmer never did come out of his house. And I can only really hope he does appreciate his tree. But something inside me thinks he was really wondering how long his dog was going to let me trespass.
